Creative New Zealand Communities Grant Scheme

The Creative New Zealand Communities Grant Scheme helps fund local arts projects

Kawerau District Council administers the Creative Communities Scheme, which is funded by Creative New Zealand. Creative New Zealand is a central government agency and is New Zealand's main organisation for funding of the arts. The Creative Communities Scheme supports and encourages local communities to create and present diverse opportunities for accessing and participating in the arts within their specific geographical area.

Do you or your club have a project that…

  • Has an arts or cultural focus
  • Will benefit the local community
  • Will not commence before your application has been assessed and approved
  • Will be completed within 12 months of funding approval
  • Has not already received funding from Creative New Zealand for the same project

Then this scheme could be for you!

Please contact Council for the next funding round of the grants scheme 07 306 9009 or email kaweraudc@kaweraudc.govt.nz
