The Kawerau District Plan was made Operative on 1 May 2012.
The District Plan controls land use activities and subdivisions. If you intend to undertake building work or carry out land use activities or subdivision, the District Plan contains rules on things like activity type, height, site coverage, yard separations, noise limits, parking, signs, heritage, lot sizes etc that may affect your proposal. In some cases you may need to obtain a resource consent before you proceed.
The Operative District Plan can be viewed by downloading files situated below or inspecting a hard copy at either the Council's offices or the District Library.
