The Kawerau Cemetery is in a dignified and peaceful environment at the southern end of Valley Road.

Plots

Plots may be purchased in advance and full details are available from the Council >>. Plots in the ex-Services section of the Cemetery are provided at no charge. Please refer to the "Cemetery" section of the Kawerau Council Fees & Charges document (PDF, 645 kB) for the current charges.

Search-by-Name

To find a person buried in our cemetery, first check the cemetery list, or use the database search tool below. Then download the diagram of the Cemetery layout and plot numbers locate the Block and Plot.

• The search tool will return a list of all surnames that contain the letters entered in the Surname field. For example, "os" in the surname field will return both Osborne and Costello.
• The Given name field is optional, but will be used to restrict the list of names displayed if anything is entered there.
• There is no provision to enter any wildcard characters when searching.
• The case of the text entered is ignored. For example, "Os", "os" and "OS" in  the Surname field will return the same list of names.
