Concert Chamber

The Concert Chamber is located in the town centre and can accommodate up to 250 people. It is ideal for wedding receptions, meetings, social functions and small exhibitions. Facilities include a small stage and wooden dance floor and a fully-equipped kitchen. The Concert Chamber is available for hire on a regular or casual basis. For bookings contact the Council.

Ron Hardie Recreation Centre

The Recreation Centre is a modern, multi-functional facility, with a large parking area. This substantial stadium is excellent for indoor sporting events, exhibitions and large entertainment functions and is used all year round. Badminton, basketball and volleyball are among the sporting codes which make good use of the Centre. It is also hired out for one-off events - high profile events such as the New Zealand Darts Championships and a concert by international singer John Rowles, (who was born and raised in Kawerau and who now lives in the USA).

It has a mezzanine level, an additional large meeting room and a kitchen. There is tiered seating for 360.

Town Hall

One the town's longest-established buildings, the Town Hall can seat a maximum of 520 people. Mainly used for stage shows, it has a large stage with dressing room facilities, spotlights, a Steinway piano available for hire and a carpeted foyer/ticket box. There is also a kitchen and oil-fired heating. For bookings contact the Council.
