Upstairs In The Chill Zone
Nimita is busy adding lots of great teen fiction . But because of vandalism we've had to limit this area to book borrowers until we get new cameras and furniture sorted. Readers, keep an eye out on the white table upstairs. The Aotearoa NZ People's Network project also means more computers 4 U to use, so check the Projects page out...

What Can Teens Borrow?
We have two specific collections for teenagers which are Young Adult Fiction and Graffix. You are also able to access all the other collections in the Library ranging from non-fiction, genre fiction and DVDs/Videos.
What Can Teens Do?
You can read and borrow books, relax upstairs in the Chill Zone, or use your Library card to access the computers in the Technology Zone.
School Holiday Fun
The Library runs school holiday activity sessions each school holidays with sessions for the 10 pluses. All sessions run approximately 30 minutes - 1 hour.
The Summer Reading Challenge
A summer reading programme for teens (10 plus) is available which promotes books & reading with activities & rewards. Registrations for next Summer's programme begin December 2012 and you need to come to the library with a library card where you receive your starter pack and challenge booklet. We will update you on details closer to summer. The activities below are open to all youth. All sessions run approximately 60-90 minutes and caregivers must accompany younger children. All the sessions are situated in and around the Library.

If you need help or information with your homework, projects or assignments you can
come into the Library and ask Library Staff, or you can email us at library@kaweraudc.govt.nz, but remember to include your library card number in the email. You can also visit the www.anyquestions.co.nz website, which has librarians online to help you find resources and answer your questions.
