The 2010 Ratepayer-Elector Form Click to Download Reader has now been released. The first page of this documents describes the groups who are eligible to enrol as Ratepayer-Electors.

The 2010 Candidate Booklet (Full, 8MB) Click to Download Reader has now been released and can be downloaded. Individual chapters will be provided for download as soon as they arrive.

Friday 20 August 2010          Nominations close at 12 noon.
Saturday 9 October 2010      Election Day, voting closes at 12 noon.

Nominations for Kawerau District Council Elections

Nominations are called for the positions of Mayor and 8 Councillors elected 'at large' across the Kawerau District. Nominations must be made and seconded by electors registered at a Kawerau address on either the Rotorua or Waiariki Electoral Roll, or by electors registered on the Kawerau Ratepayer Roll. Candidates may include a candidate statement of up to 150 words and a recent passport photo with their nomination. Candidates should return their nomination form in person to the Kawerau District Council. Each nomination must be accompanied by a $200 fee.

Nominations for BOP District Health Board Elections

Nominations are called for the positions of 7 members elected 'at large' from the Kawerau, Opotiki, Whakatane and Western BOP District Council areas, and from the Tauranga City Council area. Nominations must be made and seconded by electors registered on an Electoral Roll within the DHB area. Candidates may include a candidate statement of up to 150 words and a recent passport photo with their nomination. Candidates may return their nomination form in person either to the Kawerau District Council or to an office of the BOP District Health Board. Each nomination must be accompanied by a $200 fee.

Nominations for Environment BOP Regional Council

Nominations are called for the positions of 2 members for the Eastern BOP General Constituency and 1 member for the Kohi Maori Constituency. Nominations are being issued and received by Environment BOP.
